Joining the SCOPE Team in 2011 as the champion of occupational health, safety and risk management, Ray is an expert auditor and standards specialist providing a consultancy and auditing service to major industries. Ray assists organisations to achieve Quality Assurance accreditation and to improve their procedures and processes enabling them to create safer work environments and enhanced systems of work. Ray has a unique employment background having worked for Standards Australia, a quality assurance business. This exposure has provided Ray with an insight into the quality standards industry and effective methods to achieve accreditation. Ray also worked for SAI Global holding a variety of positions including Management Systems Specialist and Regional Coordinator Western Region (WA & NT) with a brief for all education and training programs. As a Senior Quality Consultant for the State Energy Commission of Western Australia, Ray's brief was the responsibly of Quality, OHS and Environmental compliance for the construction and operation the High-Pressure Gas Facilities leading off the main Dampier-Perth Gas Pipeline. Originally from an engineering background, Ray was employed as a Quality Engineer and Design Draughtsman on the British Royal Navy's Nuclear Submarine Programme.
Ray leverages from his experience in auditing and standards to provide training, consultancy and auditing services to a wide range of organisations and industries with special responsibility for the Department of Defence. Utilising the principles of Risk Management AS4360 Ray assisted the Department to achieve key accreditation milestones including; Quality - ISO 9001, Environment - ISO 14001 and OHS – AS4801.
