Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
(TAA40104)

Finally the new qualification has arrived… available as a Full Course or an RPL Bridging Program. BE AMONG THE FIRST TO GAIN THIS ESSENTIAL TRAINING QUALIFICATION.

The qualification has been designed to develop and further enhance the learning environment skills of those working in any industry where training and assessment forms part of the participants key responsibilities.

The revised Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) requires all newly employed trainers and assessors to hold the new Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from 24 November 2005. The new qualification has a larger focus on training design and preparation, creating a learning culture and validating the learning and assessment process to ensure outcome consistency.

To be completed successfully, the new 14 unit qualification runs over a minimum 6 month period through a mix of research, on the job and off the job learning and assessment.

WHO CAN COMPLETE THE QUALIFICATION?:

Participants must have responsibilities for the training, development and assessment of staff against specified performance standards within their organisation.

Participants will need to have a high level of literacy and numeracy skills and strong operational skills within the industry in which they train or assess.

COURSE STRUCTURE:

To meet the requirements of the qualification participants must successfully complete fourteen units of competency, made up of twelve core units and two electives. A flexible learning strategy will be negotiated to meet your individual and / or organisational needs. Throughout this program participants will learn how to:

* Manage, guide and facilitate the learning environment
* Develop systems to measure learning progress and assess competency
* Design learning processes and learning products
* Design assessment tools, tasks and activities
* Develop a culture that supports learning
* Develop and maintain knowledge of the VET system
